Named after a popular Japanese symbol for good luck, the owners will tell you that Maneki Neko means “beckoning cat,” but we’re pretty sure it stands for amazing sushi. And in a world inundated with sushi bars on every corner, Maneki Neko is proud to lay claim as Falls Church City’s only Japanese restaurant—and we’re happy to have them. The extensive sushi menu features items like yellow tail, sea eel and the Godzilla roll, or you can opt for their regular menu, which contains various noodle dishes as well as several pork, beef and chicken meals. Or choose the Bato Box, which allows you to mix and match your sushi and cooked menu items.
