The concoction of old bay seasonings and seafood sauces hovers in the air—the seasonings tingle in your nose as you approach the barn like building. There's more to this crab house than meets the eye. Its dark wood interior is similar to an old boat cruising along a lake. Captain Jerry’s promises and delivers a plethora of jaw dropping seafood. Owners want you to make a mess cracking those succulent crab legs; they've even laid brown paper over the tables. Get your hands dirty and appreciate great seafood at an affordable price.

I have eaten at Captain Jerry's at least 7 times since it opened up after the remodel with new owners. I work in Glen Burnie and have eaten at Seaside and G&Ms for many years. I believe that Captain Jerry's has better crab cakes than either place. Several times we have eaten at Captain Jerry's the owner has come to our table to see how our meal was. We found out he buys his side vegetables fresh daily and the way he steams them really makes a difference in their quality. Last Saturday the whole family got crab cakes and some large steamed crabs from the Chesapeake Bay. The crabs had just the right mix of Old Bay and they were meaty and very heavy. We thought it was the perfect seafood night! You can get a single crab cake with two side for $13.99. I think that is very family friendly!
Went to the remodeled Capt. Jerry's. What a rip-off. Had great experiences before the remodel and ownership change but now I will never go back. Bought 1/2 dozen large crabs for $32. When came with the crabs there were NOT large, they were barely medium. I brought this to the manager's attention and she gave me some lame excuse that they came from the Carolina's because of the Gulf oil spill and that the crabs from there are smaller but still considered large. Never again will I go back there.
Under new management and ownership this restaurant is fantastic. The food is great and the service is fantastic. The menu is a great value with a huge seafood selection as well as a full sushi bar. There is even a weekday sushi buffet, for only $10 for fantastic sushi.
